Due to the increasing popularity of Dancing w the Stars and Maksim, I am forced to create some further guidelines for the forum.
The forum is a place for fans to come together and enjoy being a part of Maks' official website - very often resulting in lifelong friendships or simply moments of great laughter & fun!

Maks is dedicated to dance- that is clear through his life story & his passion for his students (whether they be in Rising Stars or on ABC).
Maks is delighted to have so many supporters along on his journey to witness ballroom dancing evolve in the U.S.
With this support, unfortunately comes fans that seem to overstep their boundaries and not even realize they are doing such.
As I have mentioned on many occassions, Maks is a human-just like the rest of us. He is a very talented, attractive, passionate person who is easily to admire because of this.

This boundary and thin line between support and obsession has been crossed and this will not be tolerated on the website.
Maksim is not a prince, a king, a son to any forum member..and he shouldn't be viewed in any other way besides a dancer of which fans are proud to admire.
Again, admire is not obsess.
When Maks has time to post, he will do so. It is very wrong to inform him of your disappointment for not posting, its uncalled for to create threads about it, to call the studio, etc.
Its obvious this will only make him want to do so less.

Please respect him- he is a person just like the rest of us. If you are a true fan, you will undersyand this comes from the best intentions and will accept this as an underlying principle for the forum.

I know that in past seasons,it was fun to come to this website but the bickering and obsessiveness demonsrated by some members made it a killjoy sometimes. Thanks again.

I second that - I actually stopped coming to this forum at all for months because I couldn't bear it - I hope now peace can be restored and we can get back to the true subject - Maks and Misty and them winning!!!!!

I'm glad you have these guidelines. I have been on other forums, and one in particular has a lot of problems with this type of thing. Always criticizing the person, bashing, and complaining about this person not posting. (He is also a very busy man!!!) It got to where I stopped visiting that site. I just recently went back and it seems things have improved. Thankfully, most of the people there no longer expect this person to be perfect!

You said it all...every forum should have this posted. It would save a lot of trouble and hurt feelings for everyone involved!
