Thanks for your patience.

Appreciate the effort.

Another request: Can this thread be "stickied" so it can be found easily?

Admin team:

This is not so much a question but a suggestion - take it or leave it :D. Actually, more a request, when I think about it.

Can we please reserve the "Voting for Maks and Debi" sub-forum for discussion regarding voting strategy only and not such topics as wishing our team Good Luck this season, or what their team name should be - threads that should be available and enjoyed on the open forums!

As I understand it, the voting forum was created for the express purpose of having a private place out of public view to discuss sensitive issues related specifically to voting, e.g. email set-up, multiple voting etc. Members are required to log-in in order to view and take part.

I, therefore, don't see the point of moving discussions of a general, non-confidential nature regarding this season's partnership to an invisible forum! The majority of registered users on this forum don't bother to log-in for many legitimate reasons - time, being the most obvious. They just come here and want to quickly scan the forum for threads and discussions that catch their eye. Why lock them out of such harmless discussions? Encouraging fans to vote and saying how excited we are about this partnership should not be a state secret!

Which is why I think it's best to move all non-sensitive threads currently in the Voting sub-forum back to General and, if needed, where duplicate threads exist of the same topic (e.g. Debi's twitter thread) MERGE those threads so that we don't have multiple discussions of the same thread in different locations.

Thanks for your time.

Hi Mantra,

The system is updated to open links from the posts in new window.

However, this system update is NOT retro active. Meaning, this will apply only to posts and topics made after the coding changes were implemented today. Links in older posts and topics will continue to behave like before.

Thank you for listening. I'm putting away my frustration of "forgetting to hold down the shift key when clicking a link".

And one more had snuck in, in which Sarah handled this time (thank you, Sarah!) :D

Four spammers with over 100 posts have now disappeared! What a relief. :)

To Nadia and/or Forum adm.,

The following is a request: In seasons past it's been the norm that this forum has updated the promo pic (with Maks and his celebrity partner) just mere days before the new season is to begin, so I was hoping that this season the pic of Maks and Erin could be put up sooner rather than later. Now I know the promo pics just came out today, but as I mentioned, history has shown that it has taken weeks to get things (ie pic and new thread title) switched over. Little things like that can help set the tone around here and pump everyone up! I'm sure there will be visitors/lurkers coming here to see what's up with the dance partnership of Maks and Erin (given this forum is in the Twitter contest  ) and it would just be nice to keep things current, imo. Besides, Maks seems genuinely excited for the new season; I just want to start things off quickly.

I hope I am not overstepping my place as I said the above as a huge fan of Maks' and I just want to start Season 10 (and the weeks leading up to it) off on the right foot.

Thanks for your time,
Jersey Girl (Claudia)

Good idea Claudia. I have to agree with you. I also want to suggest a few more positive changes.

I'd love to see more current pictures of Maksim added to the first page. The ones that are there don't really reflect who Maks is now. In addition, I'd love to see this Forum really highlight all that he has accomplished in the few years he's been in the public eye. This would be the perfect place to remind viewers that along with being a very accomplished dancer he is also a teacher, coach, successful businessman, choreographer of the 2008-2009 DWTS tour and Le Reve, a Broadway star, Superstar champion in 2009 with his partner Kristi Leskinen, a blogger for 2 DWTS seasons for TV Guide and recipient last year of the Russian Heritage Award. (Not sure of the exact name of that. I tried to search for it but had no luck.) All this information about Maksim is in the public domain already so it would make sense to highlight it here on the Forum that has his name. All it would take is to include the appropriate picture with a caption.

I hope you will consider making these changes as I know everyone here is so proud of Maksim and his accomplishments.

Thanks for you time,
Vicki
