hypothetical question-Maks and Val related

I hope this is ok to put here in this sub forum. I think Val was asked once by the producers of DWTS to be on the show but he turned it down(or had to I think). Well I was just thinking today(I have the most random thoughts at the weirdest times LOL) what if he hadn't or if he takes them up on the offer in the future, with him being Maks' brother and all would we keep on just voting for Maks and just hope for the best for Val or would we make an exception and split votes between the two? Obviously we don't make exceptions for Maks' friends(namely Tony) but this would be a differnt situation Val being a blood relative. If this makes any sense what do you all think?


Oh and I doubt this would ever happen but it's good to think about just in case I think.

And one more thing, except for season 1 when Alec won I guess this is the reason none of the other relalated pros have won(except for The Houghs but I think we know why they win *coughjudgesbiascough* ) cause people split votes between them if they are both on the same season(Alec, Edyta, Anna T, and Jonathan). So that might be something to think about too if this situation ever comes about.

Hey, Maksfan27, good for you, posing a question for discussion.

However,

I do not see Maksim competing against his brother. Too much family love there, methinks. (Could be wrong, since he's REALLY competitive.)

This were to happen,

Val -- sweetheart that he is -- had better get his own Forum -- Vote splitting is a sin, I'm pretty sure.

HOWEVER, . . . He could take this Forum over as his own if his bro had already retired from DWTS . . . So timing is an issue.

But then, I'm not sure Val would want to be on DWTS. Truly. Not exactly a dancing professional heaven . . . especially given the bias toward Ballas Brats and Len's prejudices.

Personally, I am dreaming of a better dance show -- likely a diff network -- that lets us enjoy ballroom in all its diversity, but without the untrained dancers and with far greater respect for dance itself than DWTS provides. Maks, and Tony, and others they choose, would host, of course. With occasional showdances by them . . . gorgeous showdances.

Anyway . . . you posed the Q. If you're going to dream, dream big. That's my take on it. Others views will vary, I'm sure.

As close as Maks and Val seem to be I don't think they'd let the show get between them and they'd both fight to win no matter what. But i could be wrong too LOL.
Also as far as Val getting his own forum, if I may be so blunt WE are his fanbase as of right now, that's why I asked if we'd split votes or just putting it mildy wish Val the best of luck(rely on his celeb for the fanbase)!

I think his only hope would be if Maks "retired" from DWTS and he took over this forum, atleast to start out with cause I think once he was on a season he'd build up his own "non Maks" fanbase. He'd just need a "place" to start.

But this may not even be an issue cause like you say DWTS isn't exactly "pro dancer" heaven and he might not want to even go this route unless he wants to do like the Houghs/Ballas(Mark) and use DWTS to further the career he really wanted to go with(singing-The Ballas Hough band, Julianne's country music career, for Val-rapping).

how about Maks retires from the show... kicks one of the judges out and becomes one himself... then Val can be one of the pro teachers... and we can bring the ugly mirror ball trophy home to the Chmerkovskiy house where it belongs.... heheheheheheh

Ha! happyfeet and wallflower2323, that was great! I agree vote splitting could be a sin and I really can't push the issue so...I'll remain loyal to Maks And wallflower, I think an over throw would make a good show!

I'd love original artist or just the recordings of the songs they dance to... if we need a live band I would much prefer the one that went on the tour with them. anything else? Maybe have Tony judge too

I'd much rather have the recordings of the original track than the backup "live" band. No, Tom, they're not the best band in the business.

After last season's butchering of "Hey Soul Sister" by Train(although the original isn't much better either! HA!) I definately vote to get rid of the live band and just do recordings. Plus it would be easier on the couples cause recordings is what they practice to all week anyway, so why change it just for show.

And I agree about getting rid of Brooke, She nearly bored me to tears both as a contestant and co-host!! If we can't have Mel B. as co-host I'd love to see Tom with Melissa Rycroft cause I think they have enough chemistry to make it work on the show(you should read some of their back and forth tweets! HAHA!!!) but yeah my first choice there would be Mel B. lol.

Val C.: Love him, but he said that no way would he come in and replace Maks, even if he were offered. I think we could enjoy having him come on Results Nights to dance with Maks.
Tom B: The best host in town & so well respected by everyone (plus he has the butt Mel B. enjoyed pinching)!
Mel B.: Yes, she'd be perfect to co-host and it would be a hoot to have her back.
Brooke B: Kept reading Tom's cue cards at times / kept referring to herself when she danced with Hough. She's a stuck-up and has to go (terrible co-hostess)
The Band & Singers: The Band (orchestra) takes up way too much space (could use their area for more floor to dance on). Original recordings of the songs would be better than the live version from Harold Wheeler. In fact, they've played the same music more than once, but with a different couple. The singers have murdered some really great songs, particularly "The Way I Are" during Maks & Mel's Freestyle. As well, they've made plenty of boo-boos with their vocal work & Simon Cowell from American Icol did make fun of them this past year.
BHB: They need to get the worst partners from here on in.
Judges: This is the worst season for LAB (Leno/ CA / Bruno). So unbearable to listen to: ranting, raving & showing favoritism from day 1. All three of them should be replaced!

Maks: 1-2-3 strikes, but the 4th time has got to be the charm (a winning season can be seen for DWTS 11)!

I agree with this get rid of Brook Burke...You can tell she doesn't care for Maks, by the way she ask her questions..
I was getting sick by her falling all over Derek.

doing it all this time...

Would love to see Tony or Maks become a judge..

And as long as ABC counts the phone votes well I'm still off at hitting my Redial and getting thanks for voting
