Jaye_GA wrote:Two questions:
I don't have photoshop or similar programs on my comp and photobucket doesn't make avatars small enough for the forum. Is there another way to get the pic smaller?

Also,

Someone on another forum made me a signature with a blend of pics and words, I have the whole thing copied to my photobucket and I have put it in my sig on the profile, but it doesn't show up?

Thanks,
Jaye

If you have a PC running windows, you have paint, which will work just fine. If not, surf around for a free image editing software.

Make sure you have "attach signature" checked in your profile preferences.

Anyone else having trouble with Pungins blog? When I click on full screen to play a vid in IE7, all I get is a great big white screen. It will play vids in small size, though. I don't remember this happening before. Youtube itself is still OK.

Some of sort sonic update was automatically downloaded to my machine when I logged on tonight and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it? What is sonic, anyway?

Everything works find with Firefox though. Anyone have any clues?

With Sarah no longer managing this site, who will be the one to address questions to?

My question is regarding the pending members that have recently signed up.

Using emoticons & gifs as avatars

Postby Diana on Fri May 30, 2008 2:55 pm

I have a question about emoticons and gifs.

Outside of what's provided here (these cute emoticon faces on the left) in our messages, can we use emoticons or gifs in our avatars as well?
Are there any specific sizes for them, or are they the same as the jpg's (80x80 or 50x50?)

Better late than never .

Thanks.

I'm a little late in my response, but as long as what you want to use for your avatar is in the format's supported and meet the requirements, you can put whatever you want there.

Could anyone please help me with an avatar on here? I have tried and cannot figure it out. I have even made the photo smaller through photobucket. I have tried to follow Katie's instructions, and I don't know what the problem is. Please let me know. Thanks, Monica

I've never tried resizing through photobucket. It may be that the file size is bigger than they want. I suggest using paint if you haven't already. so 80x80 or smaller and under 24.41Kb.

Hey I'm new and still trying to figure all this out so I apologize if I'm asking a previously answered question but I keep having to re-login after clicking on a new topic or thread. Is there something I'm not doing right or a way to stop that? Again, I'm sorry if this is a repeat question.

Thanks.

Are you using AOL? If yes, don't view the forum through AOL. It constantly changes your IP address which is what allows you to stay logged in.

you have to use something else to convert them from .flv (most common file type from real player) as that file format isn't supported by WMM. There are various ones around. There's also a website http://media-convert.com/convert/index.php if you don't mind doing one file at a time.
